The Methow Valley is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those seeking a peaceful and scenic retreat.
It is our honor to enrich the Valleyβs immense beauty with the sensory experience ofΒ aromatic lavender.
With a sweet, decades-long history of lavender farming that started with our Grandmother, we are honored to bring you Methow Valley Lavender.
The business of life is something we all get wrapped up in. Youβre going and going, and before you know it, youβre tucked into bed (too late) and thinking about getting up and doing it all again.
You might wonder, βDid I make time for myself today?β or βWhy do I feel so disconnected?β
At Methow Valley Lavender (MVL), we believe that serenity is within reach when we ground ourselves in our senses. The best part? That only takes a moment! Thatβs precisely why we craft each product with love and intention.
See a beautifully packaged lavender oil adorning your countertop. Feel the rich lotion on your body. Smell the sun-drenched lavender fields. Taste the lavender cocktail on your lips. With a lavender breeze, listen to lifeβs melodies β birds, the breeze, the rain, or your favorite song.
Our products are crafted to give you a cherished experience, through beautiful moments. #LavenderMoments

Ooo, the contrast of red roses and lavender is quite striking, I think. β₯οΈπ
Dried lavender can last for years, and while itβs beautiful all on its own, itβs also kind of fun to add another flower for something a little extra.
I bought these roses from the grocery store and put them in silica gel crystals months ago (and then forgot about them until today). π
Have you dried flowers in silica crystals? Do you have any lavender bouquets to dress up? If not, I happen to have a few. π

What a joyful time at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show. I got to help out fellow lavender farm friends, Don and Astrid of Astridβs Lavender Farm of Gig Harbor. They are the sweetest people, and some of the hardest workers I know. It was so fun talking to visitors of their booth about lavender. And, the show was pretty incredible with wonderful garden scenes in the main exhibition hall, fantastic speakers, including the Sweet Pea Queen, Marryn Mathis. Fun to watch the Container Showdown Celebrity edition with people I didnβt recognize but have been on Netflix shows.
The atmosphere was great, down to earth, friendly gardeners and farmers. I soaked it up!

Why not add cut flowers to the mix? And what could go wrong starting out way too ambitious? π π

The peonies are in the ground! Isnβt it wild how something gorgeous starts off looking so humble? They definitely go through a major transformation.
Thank you @devroomenus for the gorgeous peony roots. And huge thanks to @ben_shallow02 @dylan.shallow @sabrinadebont and my mom, Terri for lending a hand in the field! Iβd still be digging in the dirt for ages without you all.
Thatβs a wrap on the 2025 farming season! Now, time to process this yearβs harvest. π
Thatβs a wrap on the 2025 growing season! The plants are sooo good. Very healthy, and they seem to be happy living their high dessert Methow Valley life.
Next up - field prep for peonies!! My Dad is out there digging a trench for the next irrigation line.
I canβt wait to have peonies blooming in the field.

It was a good day. π€So thankful to Denise and my Mom for helping me prune!! They are the best! Thankful to my Dad for all the help settings up our new container. It feels like progress. Little by little, weβre building this little farm of ours. π₯°
And the praying mantis - they are just so cool and we have a lot of them.

We were pruning, propagating, and prepping for a container to store our equipment (Because my parents said, βEnoughβ to storing it in their barn and cabins.π), and cooling off in the river. It`s almost Fall, but it`s still hot in the Valley. And, unfortunately, smokey. π¬
Once again, thank you to my Mom and Dad for all their help. Because of them, we are making progress on our farm.
