The Methow Valley is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, and those seeking a peaceful and scenic retreat.
It is our honor to enrich the Valley’s immense beauty with the sensory experience of aromatic lavender.
With a sweet, decades-long history of lavender farming that started with our Grandmother, we are honored to bring you Methow Valley Lavender.
The business of life is something we all get wrapped up in. You’re going and going, and before you know it, you’re tucked into bed (too late) and thinking about getting up and doing it all again.
You might wonder, “Did I make time for myself today?” or “Why do I feel so disconnected?”
At Methow Valley Lavender (MVL), we believe that serenity is within reach when we ground ourselves in our senses. The best part? That only takes a moment! That’s precisely why we craft each product with love and intention.
See a beautifully packaged lavender oil adorning your countertop. Feel the rich lotion on your body. Smell the sun-drenched lavender fields. Taste the lavender cocktail on your lips. With a lavender breeze, listen to life’s melodies — birds, the breeze, the rain, or your favorite song.
Our products are crafted to give you a cherished experience, through beautiful moments. #LavenderMoments

The peonies are in the ground! Isn’t it wild how something gorgeous starts off looking so humble? They definitely go through a major transformation.
Thank you @devroomenus for the gorgeous peony roots. And huge thanks to @ben_shallow02 @dylan.shallow @sabrinadebont and my mom, Terri for lending a hand in the field! I’d still be digging in the dirt for ages without you all.
That’s a wrap on the 2025 farming season! Now, time to process this year’s harvest. 💜
That’s a wrap on the 2025 growing season! The plants are sooo good. Very healthy, and they seem to be happy living their high dessert Methow Valley life.
Next up - field prep for peonies!! My Dad is out there digging a trench for the next irrigation line.
I can’t wait to have peonies blooming in the field.

It was a good day. 🤍So thankful to Denise and my Mom for helping me prune!! They are the best! Thankful to my Dad for all the help settings up our new container. It feels like progress. Little by little, we’re building this little farm of ours. 🥰
And the praying mantis - they are just so cool and we have a lot of them.

We were pruning, propagating, and prepping for a container to store our equipment (Because my parents said, “Enough” to storing it in their barn and cabins.😋), and cooling off in the river. It`s almost Fall, but it`s still hot in the Valley. And, unfortunately, smokey. 😬
Once again, thank you to my Mom and Dad for all their help. Because of them, we are making progress on our farm.

Date night looks a little different out here 💜✨ Just us, the lavender, and a whole lotta weeds to pull. Who needs fancy when you’ve got fresh mountain air and purple fields? 🌿💑

Ohhh, the sweet satisfaction of knowing our lavender field inspired a little work of art. Look at this! Sabrina @embroiderybysabrina is such a talented embroidery artist. I love her and all her work! And, these…
Oh my heart! 💜
Someday (maybe next year?), I’d love to host some Plein Air artists. Wouldn’t that be fun!
Thank you, Sabrina! 🫶🏼

And, that’s a wrap on the 2025 harvest!
Our stats, roughly -
1,400+ plants
3 bee stings, so ⤵️
60-something plants left for the 🐝
87 ounces of essential oil
12 1/2 gallons of hydrosol
A few hundred bundles.
Many sore muscles.
And, a whole lot of bud to be processed when we are rested.
Thank you Beth @downbytheriverlavender for distilling for us!!
It is so gratifying to see something through, start to finish. 💜

Harvest time! I’m so happy with this year’s crop. It’s beautiful, and a little hard to harvest because it’s just so pretty. But, the oil from these two varieties is equally wonderful. We’re back at it again today, harvesting Grosso and Super.
A huge thank you to Beth at @downbytheriverlavender for distilling our lavender. Beth is incredibly generous with her time, knowledge and support. We’re as far a long in our process in big part to her. Thank you, Beth!! 🙏🏼
Thank you to my helpers, my Mom and my son, Logan. Without their help, I would be harvesting for weeks instead of days.
The sun has been up for almost an hour. Time to get out there!
Happy Friday! And happy harvesting to all those out in the fields, orchards and gardens. 💜

It would just be the greatest to see these in shops around town and everywhere lavender is sold, or should be sold. 😉💜

Meanwhile, over on the west side of Washington, our sweet little crop of Sweet Peas is in full bloom—looking like a backyard party in full swing! 🌸
These old-fashioned, romantic blooms are pure magic. Their bright colors, heavenly scent, and nostalgic charm are such a mood booster. 💕
This weekend, my grandmother and I are thrilled to be attending the book signing and farm tour at Sweet Pea School—we’re absolutely over the moon! 🤩
And here’s some happy news: thanks to a little garden experiment at my parents’ place, I’ve learned that Sweet Peas grow beautifully in the Methow too. I can’t wait to plant a crop alongside our lavender field one day soon. 💐💜
