With a sweet, decades-long history of lavender farming that started with our Grandmother, we are honored to bring you Methow Valley Lavender.
The business of life is something we all get wrapped up in. You’re going and going, and before you know it, you’re tucked into bed (too late) and thinking about getting up and doing it all again.
You might wonder, “Did I make time for myself today?” or “Why do I feel so disconnected?”
At Methow Valley Lavender (MVL), we believe that serenity is within reach when we ground ourselves in our senses. The best part? That only takes a moment! That’s precisely why we craft each product with love and intention.
See a beautifully packaged lavender oil adorning your countertop. Feel the rich lotion on your body. Smell the sun-drenched lavender fields. Taste the lavender cocktail on your lips. With a lavender breeze, listen to life’s melodies — birds, the breeze, the rain, or your favorite song.
Our products are crafted to give you a cherished experience, through beautiful moments. #LavenderMoments

It’s sweet pea planting time! ✨💖
Grandma wasted no time putting my niece and me to work. She’s been growing sweet peas for over 40 years, and her greatest gift to us is passing down her wisdom so we can keep the tradition alive—filling our summers with fragrant, colorful bouquets. Last year, our sweet peas thrived so well that we were still making bouquets into September. I even snipped the very last one in the first week of October!
Here’s to another season of beautiful blooms! 🌱💕
Grandma’s Method 🌿
Take a 6” tall seed pot with drainage holes, pack the bottom inch with Happy Frog Soil (Grandma swears by this soil), and loosely fill the pot up to about two inches from the top. Use a good seedling mix, we used Black Gold. Mix it with water in a bucket to moisten the soil, it should be moist, not soaked. Add about a 1/2 inch layer of the seedling mix to the top of your Happy Frog Soil, add two sweet pea seeds opposite each other in the pot (one in each corner will do), and loosely cover the seeds with more seedling mix. Lightly pat the soil down to help hold the seeds in place. Lower grow lights to about 3 or so inches above the pots. Check on them daily and keep the soil damp with a spray bottle as to not over water or disturb the soil.
Then the hardest part, wait.
Sidenote, Grandma collected seeds from various sources. I look forward to planting my own Sweet Peas with the wonderful seed I have from @backtodirtfarm. 💜
We will keep you updated on this year’s crop. ☀️🌈

Dearest Gentle Reader,
It is with great delight that I report on the most enchanting affair of the afternoon—a gathering of three most esteemed ladies at none other than Fleur de Thé, the city’s most exquisite purveyor of fine teas.
Adorned in their finest frocks and graced with the kind of laughter that turns heads (and stirs whispers), these radiant darlings indulged in delicate lavender-infused delights, warm scones dripping with honey, and, of course, the most fragrant of teas served in porcelain fit for a duchess.
It is said that the bonds of sisterhood are best strengthened over steaming cups and whispered confidences, and indeed, this afternoon proved no exception. What secrets were shared? What romances discussed? Ah, dear reader, some mysteries are best left to the imagination…
Yours in devotion and delightful scandal,
Lady Whistledown (or perhaps, merely an admirer of her craft)

We can do it!
I am at Stevens Pass as I write this, and it is beautiful. It is a winter wonderland: mountain peaks, snow-covered trees, and skiers shredding. It’s spectacular!
But I love spring. And, I am so excited for the growing season and all that this new, fresh year has in store for our little lavender farm.
75 days… 💜

I heard a quote today that resonated with me.
“When we nurture a garden we really nurture ourselves.” -Martha on TikTok
I would add, “…and the bees.” 🐝

Have you propagated hydrangeas? This is my first attempt.
So far, so good. And, the price is right - free. 😊
Here’s how I did it:
1. Take a Cutting: Snip a healthy flower-less stem from the mother plant, cutting a few inches below a leaf node.
2. Prep the Cutting: Remove all but the top leaves, then trim the largest leaves in half. This helps the cutting focus on root production instead of feeding the leaves. (This step is especially helpful if you’re starting in soil.)
3. Place in Water: Pop the cutting in a jar of water and wait. In 4-6 weeks, you’ll start to see roots forming! 🪴
4. Pot It Up: Once the cutting has a good root system, plant it in soil. I use Happy Frog potting mix for a great start.
5. Create a Cozy Environment: I keep my cuttings on a wire rack over a heat mat and under grow lights to encourage growth.
I would love to hear your tips and tricks. 🪴
